Visit the Place

Our wines are good no matter where you drink them. But there is something special about enjoying them at the source — Ribbon Ridge Vineyard. But don’t expect the million-dollar tasting room with fine furnishings and imported tile floors. Visiting us is rustic and real. Then so are our wines. There isn’t a better way to discover what we’re about than to visit us.

COVID-19 Update

Due to concerns for everyone’s safety, we have delayed opening for our summer season of tastings. Unfortunately, this will include the normal Memorial Day Weekend tastings as well as our usual summer Saturday tastings. Wineries and tasting rooms in Yamhill County have been approved for Phase 1 re-opening on a limited basis. We are evaluating how we can receive visitors while adhering to the state guidelines for sanitation and social distancing.

Your safety is very important to us and we won’t reopen until we are certain that we provide a safe environment in which you can enjoy our wines and Wood-fired Pizza. We are targeting July 11th for re-opening. We will post an updated status and schedule here and on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ribbonridge).

We appreciate your patience. We look forward to welcoming you to Ribbon Ridge Vineyard soon.

Stay safe and continue to drink Pinot (especially from RRV).

How to Visit Us

We don’t have an official tasting room yet, but we do hold events in the vineyard, where guests can enjoy the view, taste our wines, and eat food the both of us prepare.

The best way to hear about events at the vineyard or other events where you can taste our wines is by joining our mailing list. That way you’ll be the first to know if we’re open for tastings and if we’re offering special accompaniments such Robin’s wood-fired pizza or something from the smoker or the wood-fired grill. We also host wine dinners or fund-raising events from time to time where we get to pull out all the stops. You can usually find out about our events on our Facebook page, facebook.com/ribbonridge. or on Instagram @ribbonridgevineyard.

Typically we’ll be open for the traditional wine-tasting weekends around Thanksgiving and Memorial Day. In addition, we usually have the wood-fired oven going on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day and invite you to join us for tasting and wood-fired pizza.

Directions to Ribbon Ridge Vineyard

Ribbon Ridge Vineyard is on North Valley Road between Newberg and Gaston, about 35 miles southwest of Portland.

From Portland:

Take Highway 99 W southwest to Newberg. Near the west end of Newberg, turn right on North Main, following the signs to Highway 240 and Chehalem Valley. After a few blocks, veer left following the main road (SR 240 N. Chehalem Drive).
Continue on SR 240 N. Chehalem Drive five miles to Ribbon Ridge Road. Turn right to cross Chehalem Valley.
After you cross the valley, turn left and stay on the paved road, North Valley Road. (Ribbon Ridge Road continues straight and is unpaved — don’t take it.)

Continue approximately 2 miles on North Valley Road from the intersection with Ribbon Ridge Road. The road to the vineyard is on the right at 14741 NE North Valley Road, 1 mile past Tillicum Camp and Patricia Green Cellars, and just past an old farm on the right. Look for the Pihl Built Road street sign and Bryce on the mailbox.

Turn right on Pihl Built Road and follow the yellow arrows on the main road up the hill until you reach Bryce Vineyard and a fork in the road. At the fork, bear right and through the gate to Ribbon Ridge Vineyard.
