Grow tubes on all plants during the early growing stages protect the plants from damage that might be caused by deer, frost, or cultivation and serve as individual greenhouses to facilitate growth.

Seven thousand feet of drain tile installed in the vineyard, in conjunction with the drip irrigation and moisture monitors installed throughout the vineyard, enables us to precisely control the amount and timing of water the grapes receive.

Electronic temperature monitors in various locations throughout the vineyard record the temperature in each location every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. Data from the monitors is used to calculate degree days and will help us predict when the different blocks will ripen.

Though we have not applied for inclusion in the Oregon LIVE (Low Impact Viticulture and Enology, Inc.) program, we have been following the LIVE, Inc. guidelines and will apply for certification in the near future.
